Your humor and personality pervades this lovely piece. Especially like the line "There’s no such thing as a charger for a human (@Elon?) and I’d say I’m at about 40% after another fitful night." Keep up the good work!
The subtle darkness is intriguing. Life can be quite lonely sometimes. I always get made fun of in school, even the people who I thought were nice turn to show their evil sides. It's like the pressure of study is too high and they are turning to me to get their exhaustion out because I rarely speak and my anger's contained. I check my phone and my Instagram account has a wapping 10 followers compared to the hundreds of my so-called friends. I check notifications and DMs hoping someone has approached but nothing, it lies as cold as a tamed heart.
I enjoyed the read. I shared a part of my story thinking it'd make you feel better.
I appreciate you sharing your story. Sometimes school days suck. Mine certainly had some sucky turns. I wrote this not so much because I was lonely, of course I feel that way sometimes. I wrote this to point out the social isolation that can come from dependence on social media instead of irl action. I’m a bit of an introvert and have always had smaller groups of friends. Thank you for your kindness.

This is so subtle and cozy, how it coated the murder is darn cleverly nonchalant! Great work!
Glad you enjoyed it. It was a random thought popped into my sometimes unorganized mind🤷♀️
Absolutely brilliant Jeanne!!! 👏🏽
I always look forward to your drops. The nonchalance of murder is chef's kiss.
You are a gem!! SO damn talented and so freaking funny. Just clever as the Alaskan summer day is long. Also, i promise to email more ;)
The secret here is this was written not for social commentary, but to guilt you into emailing more mwahahahah. Thanks Trilety.
Brilliant! ANd it worked!
I accept!
“I’m nice.” haha this is a dandy Jeanne!
Would you accept, 'I identify as nice.'?
Thank you for the kind words. I just finished Elon’s biography (mostly) before I wrote this. I’d bet he’s thought about it.
Thanks Jamal👋
